ENTRYWAY: LUCITE TABLE?

Most of you suggested I get the acrylic sofa table  I spotted on Craigslist a couple of weeks ago.  Well,  I haven't (yet) but I think it would look good in the entryway...

Our foyer...

I am seriously considering what Jamie originally suggested (from here)...

i suwannee said...
what if you do a console table with two green stools/benches underneath?
i suwannee said...
and then do a bench to the left of front door?
foyer update

(I'm replacing the light fixture with the capiz lotus chandelier I got from the Philippines and I'm still loving the petite pillement wallpaper from my previous plan)

What do you think?

TWO-TONED SECRETARY/ARMOIRE

I never shy away from color so it's no surprised that I'm loving these two-toned furniture...

A11

  Love the element of surprise!

Speaking of two-tone, if you're looking to buy a new wallet I highly recommend this...

I got mine(flame/fuchsia) yesterday and I'm totally in love!
It has a place for everything(hopefully this will keep me organized!), it comes in different colors and the quality of the leather is great!  (I've never been this excited about a wallet before)

Have a great weekend everyone!

ELLE DECORATION PHILIPPINES

The Philippines is the 26th country in the world to have its own edition of Elle Decoration.  They launched the first issue last October.  How cool is that?!
'
I brought home the latest issue with me...

And I'm totally in love with Pauline Suaco-Juan's home.  She is the editor-in-chief of Preview magazine, a Filipino fashion magazine.

Their home(with husband and 3 boys) is filled with vintage furniture and flea market finds mixed with custom-made pieces, original artworks and family treasures.
It is a well curated home.

PILLOW SWITCH

Remember the Aurora ikat fabric I got from Calico corners?  Well, I took it home with me to Manila and had some pillows made for me and my sister, Choc. (2 for me and 2 for her)...

(my sister's living room)
But I ended up giving all 4 to her.   Oh, and that's the light fixture we got from our shopping trip to Dapitan.

In return, she gave me this handwoven Yakan fabric from Basilan Island, a southern province of the Philippines...

I had a couple of pillows made too...

I love how the pillows remind me of home.  Win-win!

Speaking of home, I also got this wooden sculpture from my dad's province in Laguna...

It depicts a childhood game we used to play called "luksong baka".

Nate would be proud of me,  I'm starting to fill our home with treasures that matter the most.

The kids are off for the rest of the week so we are taking a mini vacation to the Dells.
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone and enjoy your weekend!
Be back Monday!
