ORC LINKING PARTICIPANT, ROUND 2, WEEK 5

Only one more week to go before the big reveal! Eeek!
First of all, thanks for weighing in on the nightstand.  (I'm waffling and can't decide just yet).

I tried to get as much as done as possible before my brother and family came to visit from the Philippines.

I was able to make the pillow shams out of the floral "Adele Springtime" fabric from Calico Corners.

I followed this tutorial.

Since I only got a yard of the floral fabric, I  used the pink fabric for the backs...

I painted the "nodes" of the faux bamboo headboard pink (I used "Red Grapefruit" by Glidden from Home Depot)

I was also able to paint the dresser using some leftover paint from the last ORC.

And lastly, I finished reupholstering the other waterfall stool...

Whew!

I am pretty much done with this room except for some accessorizing.  The chandelier is not going to make it.  Alex wanted a capiz chandelier and I'm having one custom made in a shade of pink (of course!).  My mom is going to bring it when my parents come next month.

1.  Update the headboards
2. DIY a pelmet box
3.  Recover the waterfall stools
4. DIY the bedskirts and pillows
5. Purchase the mirror and rug
6. Paint the dresser
7.  Figure out the chandelier
8.  Accessorize

The study room is another story.
(I am hoping for good weather soon so I can spray paint the Etageres).

I still have to...
1.  Repaint the Etageres in coral pink
2. Replace the area rug and chair
3. Paint and hang a mirror above the sectional
4.  Unsure if I want to replace the wallpaper or just cover that entire wall with art.
5.  Accessorize

If you missed the previous weeks, check out the side bar tab on the right upper portion of this page.

Have you been following all the other rooms?
And of course the original 20 participants.  Man!  There are seriously a lot of great talents out there.

Hope to see you next week for the big reveal!

Love the shams - I wish I could sew and upholster like you can! So far what I can see looks great - good luck in the final stretch.
