Since I'm trying to carve out my own office space in the basement, I'm on the lookout for some fun desk accessories. Here's a roundup of some of my favorites...
I also finished painting the desk part of the campaign furniture...
I went with Kendall Charcoal by Benjamin Moore.
Just so you know what I'm working with, here's a picture of the basement when we first saw the house...
{More oak! We already painted the trim white and the walls the same color as the living/dining room about a year ago}
Since I'm going to hang out here more often, I've decided to paint the kitchen cabinets as well. I've always loved the look of two-toned kitchens so I'm going to paint the island the same gray as the campaign and the rest white.

{I'm placing the "mother of pearl" inlay desk on the right and the pink bergere next to it. I'm not sure what to do with the doors yet}
I have my work cut out for me!!!
I think it will be worth it in the end!

I am can already imagin how great this room will be!!! love what you did with the desk so far!!! I am also in love with that whale dispenser!!!! Quick question though, did you paint the oak cabinets yourself? any tips? you know my basement cabinets are in the same shade and desperately needs a makeover as well as the one in the laundry room. Thanks, so excited for you!
I love the desk! The room is going to be fantastic. I think I would paint the doors either the same gray you're using or a royal blue. Can't wait to see this awesome room and I hope you can finish yours in less time than it's taking me:)
Love the gray! And can't wait to see that room transformed. It's going to look seriously amazing!
