HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A little over 2 years ago we had the scare of our lives when we found out that our little baby wasn't getting enough nutrients in my womb.  Everything happened in a matter of days and the doctors decided to induce me 3 weeks early.  It was New Year's Eve.  Thank God everything was fine.  She's perfect...tiny (4 lbs. 6 ounces), but perfect!

Happy Birthday little Sabrina!  We love you so much!

Here's to wishing you all peace, health and happiness in 2013!

CAMPAIGN AFTER AND LUCKY DUCK

  I finally was able to take photos of the campaign furniture yesterday.  Geez, the last time I posted about it was at the Paint a rug party a couple of months ago. ( Where did the time go? )...

It finally snowed yesterday here in Milwaukee!  

 I asked for a white Christmas...

and looks like more snow is coming tomorrow.

GROWTH CHART RULER

Donna from A Perfect Gray recently re-posted a photo of her growth wall...

She originally posted this 2 years ago as part of "What makes a house a home" post.

I've always loved this idea and I've been meaning to do something similar for the kids since then.

(I don't know why I waited this long)

I wanted to make a growth chart that we could take along with us if we move...

{I painted a piece of wood white (1x5x6), stenciled the numbers with sharpie, and nailed it in place}

Easy peasy!

I've seen a lot of versions online but I liked the idea of custom fitting it to a door frame or post.
(I got this idea from my friend Leslie)

I love how it turned out and the kids are pretty excited!

{We are going to measure them New year's day then every six months after}
