It is done!
Bye Bye 1980s
Hello...2010
The nude portrait is by a famous Filipino artist, Solomon Saprid, given to us by my parents
Mirror, Lighting and Vanity Change...
I really wanted to use this federal eagle mirror but the convexity of it made me dizzy.
I used this vintage mirror instead which I got from a thrift shop for $7.
The light fixture, baskets and tissue box are all from home goods.
We also changed the shower valve and trim.
{we still have to replace the shower door}
Here's another look at the before...
and after...
We had everything professionally done except for the wallpaper which I tackled myself. We spent a little over $2K for the entire project. Not bad considering the average small bathroom renovation ranges from $7400-$12,500{according to here}

looks great! i love the wallpaper you selected, and your new clean vanity. while i LOVE the federal mirror, i understand why you had to switch it--that would drive me crazy, too. do you think you could put new glass in it, or will you just use it someplace else?
Thanks Dayka. I've never thought of replacing the glass but I should look into it.
Looks a million times better. Where did you get the vanity? I'm not sure which I love more, the vanity or the wallpaper.
Oh, it looks fabulous! I LOVE that wallpaper, I love bold wallpaper in the bath! Great job, Charmaine!

charmaine, what a great job. love everything! you know I love nudes...and that mirror is perfect. what a find.
I am pretty impressed, gal!
Love, love, love a good renovation. This is fabulous!
Whoa. Major, major change and it all looks awesome. I saw that federal mirror from one of your earlier posts, but if it makes you dizzy, oh well! Since a few people are wondering about the vanity, homegoods always has a rotating set of products, but I personally bought one of my modern bath vanities at ModernBathroom.com. If you're in SoCal, they also have an actual showroom store which is neat to go to.
wow charmaine, this is a great transformation, beautifully designed. lots of catch up to do going through your previous posts. It is great to be back and so sorry for the late reply. you have a wonderful day! verbena cottage

GORGEOUS!!!!! Wow.. you did an amazing and beautiful job on this bathroom.. I adore everything about it! Oh.. I keep going back and looking.. the wallpaper is amazing! Where did the eagle mirror end up ( I adore that too.. but totally get that you would get dizzy! ) :) xoxo
Hi Charmaine ~ Nice to "meet" you. I wish my blogging skills were better but have not yet found the time to really get into it. I'm always busy with projects so not much commitment to the blog.
Where in WI do you live? I'm in the Appleton area.

Love the wallpaper! Love the sink! It's beautiful.
Looks fabulous! The new mirror is just perfect!
It turned out gorgeous. Wonderfully done.
Hi! I just found your blog through Abode Love. Do you remember where you got your floor vent covers? I saw you replaced the old one near the toilet. My house has these types of vents and they drive me crazy! I'd love to update them a little.
Thanks!
Hi Ashley, I got the vent cover from Lowe's. They have way more selection than home depot.
Good luck and thanks for stopping by!
Charmaine
