CRAIGSLIST MONDAY: ORIENTAL/PERSIAN AREA RUGS

Oriental/Persian Rugs are making a comeback(did they ever go out of style?).  I see them being used everywhere...

But let's face it, not all of us can afford it.  I checked my local CL and am pretty surprised with what I  found...

Do you have one(or 2 or more!)?
Have you purchased an Oriental rug from Craigslist before?

  1. Girl...those are amazing! I am loving the one I recently picked up at an estate sale. It has opened up a design can of worms but that's ok.

  2. I love a traditional rug, these are very beautiful. Like Melissa, I'm loving my estate sale rug! You should check out some sales this summer. I'm getting mine professionally cleaned this week!

  3. those are amazing CL rugs. I have sold some on CL, but never bought one there. As good a place as any, I say, they all need cleaning anyway! Love them in bathrooms and kitchens especially!

  5. I was on the hunt for an oriental rug for awhile but settled on a rugs usa rug instead. Although I found that etsy had some great rugs.

  6. I don't have one, but I def think I need one. Dying for a worn, faded, vintage one.

  7. I sold a large one I had when I moved about a year ago. I do have an oriental runner on the sink wall of my kitchen. Love them with white walls!

  8. Haven't purchased one on CL yet, but on eBay. I have another Persian from a local dealer and a couple of other randoms (one from Homegoods). I love Chinese art deco rugs but they're so expensive!! Love these. It can get tricky to have too many because in proximity they can clash.

  10. Man...I can't get enough of antique rugs either. Recently put one in our new bathroom (which I got off of CL!) and I have one in Finn's nursery (another one I got off CL). There's a small one in our kitchen too. Told ya...can't get enough. The ones I got on CL I got for great prices. I think they were $35 each and they're nicely-sized. You'll have to check 'em out when I reveal those rooms;)

  13. I wouldn't mind buying a Persian rug or two from time to time, especially if they really fit nicely into our living room. I particularly like the wool rug and the last CL Persian rug. Bonus points if they're really flat yet soft to the feet. Love walking around on those!
