THRIFTING

I know this is not for everyone but there are plenty of deals and steals to be found at thrift stores.  You just have to keep an open mind.

Here are some items I found while thrifting yesterday...

Spindle side table for $40...

Faux bamboo chair for only $4.99...

Cane Headboard for $10!!!

Chair for $7.50...

Gold shelving for $37.50...

This Dixie dresser set for $139...

{I wanted to buy these two side tables but  they wouldn't let me break the set.}

I came home with these...

these brass cabinet pulls for the basement kitchenette...

and
 this brass with lucite accent floor lamp...
{I think this would look great with a black shade}

Did you find any good deals lately?

Happy Thursday Everyone!

  2. That $10 headboard, spray painted in an amazing yellow or any freaking color, would be the ish! Those are some great finds. I love a good thrifting excursion and can't wait to get our new house since I have NO place in my condo anymore to store anything. Those were some great finds for your bookcase as well. sweet!

  4. Definitely a great day thrifting! And you know I love it. That headboard could be amazing - I could even see the caned portion being upholstered over and the frame painted gold. It would be so dramatic. Love your bookshelf goodies and the lamp!

  5. I am so jealous. I was just talking to my friend from Florida the other day (I'm originally from Arkansas) about HOW expensive even the thrift stores are here in California. Back home you can find great deals like that but out here they rack up the price and call it "vintage chic". Sooooo frustrating.

  12. Congrats on those wonderful finds! Did you end up purchasing the brass shelves? If not, it might be worth the drive to Milwaukee for me. I've been searching for some just like them for ages, but they're always out of my price range!

  13. Hi Carolyn, no I didn't. I can get it for you if you want. It is $75 at the ReStore but they are having a 50% off sale on furniture until Saturday. Let me know. I can check if it's still there.
