Remember my plan for the "mother of pearl" inlay desk for my office?
Well, I did it!
{This used to be our dining table. I primed it first then added one coat of Marina Gray paint by Benjamin Moore in Satin. The inlay part is leftover paint, Atrium White also by Ben Moore.}
I used the Indian Inlay Furniture Stencil Kit by Kim Myles from Cutting Edge Stencils.
I love how it turned out!!! It looks like the real deal, don't you think?!
It looks totally real, and gorge! Nice work. Definitely going on my list of projects!

ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me?? So pretty!! And you are inspiring in that you come up with a plan and execute within days (not months like I do). I was going to sell my old kitchen table, but now I'm starting to rethink that - maybe I should do this instead!

It's absolutely gorgeous Charmaine!! I think the fact that you kept the colours light makes it look so authentic. I've seen it done in higher contrast and it didn't look nearly as slick. Beautiful job.
ReplyDeleteGood lawd, your patience is beyond me. Looks amazing!
