CRAIGSLIST MONDAY: CS INTERIORS - ROXBURY ROAD

Hey y’all, my best friend craig readers, as we say here in the South!  We are Caroline and Hayley from CS Interiors - Roxbury Road.  We started as workout friends who enjoyed talking about our fun finds.  In the Fall of 2011, we began talking about a way to share our vintage finds with others, and soon our Facebook page, CS Interiors - Roxbury Road, was born.

Caroline Sain graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Interior Environments.  She worked with Betsy Brown and Philip Sides before starting her own interior design business.  Hayley Young graduated from Auburn as well with a degree in Communication Disorders.  She’s a part-time speech-language pathologist who really enjoys the hunt for vintage items.

Caroline discovered there’s a niche for vintage finds because she had found, in her search for her own clients, there’s a sizable gap between junk and very expensive antiques.  One look at One Kings Lane or 1st Dibs and you can see that CS Interiors - Roxbury Road prides itself in its reasonable prices for fabulous vintage finds!

Craigslist is a great resource for us.  Some favorite past finds that are now sold include:

Campaign dresser

Bamboo Pagoda Mirror

Faux Bamboo Henry Link Bedroom Set

Mastercraft Table, Chairs and Brass Vitrines

Lucite Tables

Brass Ram’s Head Coffee Table (one of our favorites, so far!)

Elephant Tusk Dining Table

Sputnik Chandelier

Some of our Available Now finds include:

Spun Fiberglass Set

X-Bench

Brass Coffee Table

Ceramic Elephant Garden Stool

Wicker Peacock Chair

Rattan Hanging Chair

Brass Rope Stool

Mother of Pearl Globe

For now, we are based out of both of our garages in Birmingham, Alabama, and enjoy selling mostly locally for now. We have, however, shipped items from Texas to North Carolina and lots of locales in between.  We are happy to try to help our customers arrange reasonably priced shipping.

We cannot thank Charmaine enough for the opportunity to share a few of our finds with y’all!  Please stop by our FB page and say hey, or better yet, come see us in Birmingham for some of our famous Southern hospitality!

Thanks Caroline and Hayley!  I can seriously decorate an entire room with just your finds!  Great stuff.

Make sure to check out their FB page!

WHAT I WANT TO BE WHEN I GROW UP

I've been wanting to take upholstery classes for the longest time(so I can rescue all the vintage chairs I find on CL and thrift shops)
My sister sent me this link from Houzz.
Spaces by Philadelphia Furniture And Accessories Wild Chairy

Andrea Mihalik's story is pretty inspiring. She started off with an upholstery book given to her by her husband for Christmas, signed up for classes after then interned for free for four months at BDDW.  She is now the owner of Wild Chairy, an upholstery shop in Philadelphia.

She creates one of kind pieces by combining fun fabrics and textiles with old word upholstery techniques and fine earth friendly materials...

CRAIGSLIST MONDAY: MORE CHROME TUFTED CHAIRS

Remember the pair of tufted chrome chairs I scored a while back?
(I am constantly moving these chairs, they are currently in the basement)

There's a similar listing right now...

So tempted!!!

CRAIGSLIST MONDAY: CREDENZA/DRESSER

I'm on the hunt for a credenza/dresser for Mark's office to place all of our clutter sports equipment.
Mark's office.
The credenza is going to replace the small sectional above (which is now in Sabrina's room).

Mark wants some bigger compartments to fit helmets and other bulky stuff...
(This would be perfect - size, right amount of drawers and cabinets and color)

This one is similar(I can just remove the center drawers for the bulky stuff)...

This set looks dated but has potential.  I think it would look amazing once painted...

Or I can move the dresser in the family room...

and replace it with this...

Maybe.

Happy Monday Everyone!

PLAN B WORKED AND OTHER RANDOM STUFF

The lucite sofa table is in place...
and I have to say, Plan B worked!

I get a lot of emails regarding our gray tufted sofas.  Ours are by Southern Furniture purchased through a local design company.

I was reading Elle Decor the other day and noticed a very similar sofa(if not the same)..

It is by Horchow and is part of HorchowNOW, a stylish and budget-friendly furniture collection that just hit the market.

I also get a lot of inquiries about the green and white stripe curtains in Mateo's room...
I got them from Pottery Barn Kids a while back (and they are no longer available).

But I saw this fabric at Ikea last Monday...
The green is spot on but the stripes run vertically (still a nice alternative).

and lastly, if you follow me on Instagram (mybestfriendcraig), you know that I've been working on the lego shirts for Mateo's birthday party...
His birthday is tomorrow and I am only halfway done!  Yikes.

Have a great weekend everyone!
